Tow Bar Installation
Tow bar installation is one of the many retrofit installations we offer and specialise in for Volkswagen, Audi, Seat, Škoda cars, SUVs, and commercial vehicles. Whether it is a bicycle, E-bike, trailer, caravan or a jet-ski you want your vehicle to transport … we have you covered!

The solutions we can provide and install cater for a wide spread of budgets, from the dealer supplied ‘swing down’ partly automated factory fit options where a software version management (SVM) code changes the vehicle’s spec and unlocks the feature digitally, to the more affordable and widely used aftermarket options of fixed or removable head tow bar kits supplied by Westfalia, Tow Trust, or Brink.
We can spec your install for either 7-pin or 13-pin electrical plug dependent on what your towing needs are. Historically 13-pin electrics was more commonly aimed toward Caravan applications, whilst 7-pin more commonly associated with trailers and bike carriers, however, now it is commonly seen for 13-pin to be much more universally used on far more applications owed to its versatility and seemingly region of origin of where the towing product is supplied from.
Our most commonly installed tow bar is the aftermarket removable head option, as it retains the vehicle’s aesthetically pleasing factory look when it is not in use, plus avoids risk of risk of banging your legs on the tow bar when walking round the rear of the vehicle or using the boot! The utilisation of a clever and strategically mounted logic relay box means the tow bar lighting works perfectly without disturbing or upsetting the vehicle’s complex microprocessor-controlled factory bulb or LED system.
Each install comes with hand over session of support and training of how to remove and refit the removable head / attach the electrics to the trailer, or in the case of the factory fit system, how the system deploys and retracts, so the hitch can be used safely and effectively.
